Lenovo Group Limited, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong, People’s Republic of China, informed Medion AG on August 12, 2011 pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG, that its percentage of voting rights in Medion AG, Am Zehnthof 77, 45307 Essen (ISIN DE0006605009) exceeded the thresholds of 20, 25, 30, 50 and 75% on July 29, 2011 and, as per this date, amounts to 77.93% (37,734,269 out of a total of 48,418,400 voting rights). 51.89% (25,123,283 out of a total of 48,418,400 voting rights) of these voting rights are to be attributed to Lenovo Group Limited pursuant to section 22 (1) sentence 1 no. 1 WpHG from Lenovo Germany Holding GmbH via the following companies which are controlled by Lenovo Group Limited and whose holdings of voting rights amount to 3% each or more in Medion AG: Lenovo (BVI) Limited, Lenovo (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., Lenovo International Limited, Lenovo (Belgium) Sprl, Lenovo (International) B.V., Lenovo Germany Holding GmbH. Further 7.72% (3,736,970 out of a total of 48,418,400 voting rights) are to be attributed to Lenovo Group Limited pursuant to section 22 (1) sentence 1 no. 1 WpHG from Medion AG holding 3,736,970 own shares (eigene Aktien) within the meaning of section 71 et seq. German Stock Corporation Act (AktG) via the afore mentioned companies. Further 18.33% (8,874,016 out of a total of 48,418,400 voting rights) of these voting rights are to be attributed to Lenovo Group Limited pursuant to section 22 (2) sentence 1 WpHG from Mr. Gerd Brachmann.
